A Mind in Motion, A Story in Progress.
Lauryn is an upcoming designer whose work bridges the realms of architecture, movement, and human connection. Born in Marietta, Georgia, she cultivated a passion for the arts and creative exploration at an early age. Her journey into architecture began in sixth grade at Howard University Middle School in Washington, DC, where she joined the architecture club. However, her artistic curiosity soon led her to Duke Ellington School of the Arts, where she trained under Charles Augins, and had opportunities to train at the prestigious Alvin Ailey Dance Company and performed in numerous productions across the DC Metropolitan Area.
Lauryn began her collegiate career at Hampton University in 2016 as a member of the Blue Thunder Cheerleading Team, an experience that shaped her confidence and presence. She later transferred to Virginia Commonwealth University, earning a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health Science in 2021. Rather than confining herself to a single discipline, she pursued a multifaceted path, immersing herself in science, education, dance, and design, ultimately finding her true calling in architecture at the University of Maryland.
Drawing from a dynamic background in design, performance, and science, Lauryn approaches architecture and interior spaces with a deep understanding of how the built environment influences human physiology and emotion. Her work aims to blend functionality with artistry, crafting spaces that inspire, uplift, and encourage connection. From furniture design to immersive interiors and graphic visuals, she transforms ideas into tangible, captivating experiences. With a passion for hospitality, youth engagement, and storytelling through design, Lauryn is dedicated to shaping environments that leave a lasting impact—where space is not just seen but felt.
